It was a work-from-home day. I designed a flyer for my company’s application. I also drew illustrations for the flyer, but it was difficult. Because I drew a woman’s portrait. I had difficulty capturing her facial features and drawing her likeness.

Tue.23 JUL 2024

I went to my office to have a lecture about how to shoot video. Today’s agenda was lighting and voice recording. I thought it would be good to have shooting skills. After that, I went back home. Then I did the flyer work.

Wed.24 JUL 2024

It was a day off during the week. I prepared for my upcoming exhibition by drawing mini canvases and reinforcing the canvas holes with thread. I regret not using the time for the rough canvas illustration. Next time, I will spend more time preparing the iPad sketch before starting the actual work.

Thu.25 JUL 2024

It was a work-from-home day. I designed the flyer for my company’s app and thought about its illustration. I wanted to finish it early, but it took a little more than expected when I did.

Fri.26 JUL 2024

I took a day off, but I went to my company with my daughter because today was the family day workers could bring their families to the company and show around inside the company. This event is open to family members from the 4th grade of elementary school to the first grade of junior high school. My daughter is in the 4th grade of elementary school this year, so she could participate for the first time. It was fun for us. I could go to a place where I’ve never been. If I didn’t participate in this event, I would not go there.

It was Saturday. Since my husband and daughter had been to his hometown to see the fireworks last night, during the morning I could concentrate on my work. I finished all of my artwork and took a photo of them.

Sun.28 JUL 2024

Our family went to the OPA gallery at Omotesando to see the first half of the OPA Summer Festival exhibition. I will participate in the second half of it. The exhibition was so fun and interesting like a college festival, and I was relieved that it would not be serious. After that, I moved to the HB gallery near OPA holding the exhibition of Machiko Fukamachi who prized at the HB gallery competition. Her drawings were sensitive and beautiful.
