Mon.5 AUG 2024

Today I worked from home. I planned to work on several projects, one of which was making illustrations for a board game. The other was a sketch of a drainage system. I was expecting to have fun drawing the illustrations for the board game, But I became tired quite quickly and fell asleep before 9 pm.

Tue.6 AUG 2024

Today I worked from home. I drew illustrations for a board game that is based on an empty house.

I drew them rougher than usual. I hope this proposal will be accepted.

Wed.7 AUG 2024

 It was the last day of the event I participated in at the gallery.

Before that, I went to the museum at Ueno for the Giorgio de Chirico exhibition.

There were several of his artworks on display.

he actually passed away on my birthday.

I had to hurry back to my exhibition because my friend told me she was on her way to see it.

Thu.8 AUG 2024

I worked from home today. The work of the Empire House card board game is almost finished. There was a huge earthquake in the sea of Miyazaki prefecture and the Japanese Meteorological Agency said to keep in mind the disaster for a week. I was planning to go to my hometown by using the bullet train which was on the dangerous plate area.

I was so nervous.

Fri.9 AUG 2024

I decided to change my schedule behind to go to my hometown Kyoto since I was afraid of the earthquake. Japanese Meteorological Agency issued a call for “huge earthquake caution”. Though this doesn’t mean that an earthquake will definitely occur, the probability is higher than usual, so we should be very careful.

Sat.10 AUG 2024

If I hadn’t changed my schedule, I would be in my hometown Kyoto. But I was still in Yokohama. My family in Kyoto was looking forward to seeing my daughter. I was so sorry that they couldn’t see my daughter. The reason is me.

Sun.11 AUG 2024

My family went to the Yoshitake Shinsuke Exhibition at the Yokohama SOGO Museum. My daughter likes his picture books so she enjoyed the exhibition. There were not only his artwork but also his favorite things such as books, toys, and his old works.

I think that he is inspired by those things and as an artist myself, an artist needs to be inspired in this way and I would like to do the same.
